REQUIESCAT: REBIRTH

REQUIESCAT; REBIRTH: MANITOBA OPERA, PRESENTING SPONSOR

Come join us for a special event at Young United Church where we will explore themes of renewal and transformation. Requiescat; Rebirth is a recital of songs exploring life's cyclical nature. Megan Dufrat will join Winnipeg-born and Montreal-based tenor, Kyle Briscoe to present works by Brahms, Chausson, Tosti, Hailstork, and Emery alongside original folk songs. Kyle is thrilled to share new repertoire studied during the first half of his M.Mus at McGill's Schulich School of Music through the lens of something everyone can relate to: entering life's newest chapter.

Kyle is honoured to perform this recital with his longtime collaborator and dear friend, Megan. As a twist to a typical voice recital, Kyle will pair performances of his folk pop-music to provide a pseudo translation of the non-English language repertoire. Poetic translations and program notes will also be provided. Proceeds will be donated to The Rainbow Harmony Project and The Rainbow Resource Centre.

Get ready to experience a night filled with music, art, and community. Classical music is for everyone; come as you are! Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with others and nourish your soul. This music is a universal language that connects and heals us all. Tickets are pay what you can with recommended pricing.

Tickets are available here on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.ca/.../requiescat-rebirth-tickets...

We are extremely grateful for our presenting sponsor, Manitoba Opera! Special thanks also goes to The Women's Musical Club of Winnipeg, our Musicians' sponsor. Lastly, we would like to thank Young United Church for providing our venue in-kind for the event.

*Tax receipts can not be provided. Final donations will be announced and made after the event.
